Horizont 2020 Infokommunikációs Technológiák - Információs Napok Budapest, 2015. december 3. és 2015. december 4. Az Európai Bizottság októberben publikálta a 2016-17. évi Horizont 2020 Információs és Kommunikációs Technológiák munkaprogramot, amely több, mint 1,5 milliárd EUR támogatást irányoz elő közel 50 kutatási és innovációs témára. Ezek mellett a társadalmi kihívások, illetve a kiváló tudomány pillérek egyes munkaprogramrészeiben, valamint más kapcsolódó programokban is számos IKT-orientált felhívás nyílt meg. A Nemzeti Kutatási, Fejlesztési és Innovációs Hivatal információs napot szervez a Horizont 2020 IKT pályázati lehetőségeiről 2015. december 3-n és 4-én. (A várható érdeklődésre való tekintettel, az információs napot egyező napirenddel két külön napon ismételjük, kérjük csak az egyik napra regisztráljon). Az információs napok áttekintést adnak a H2020 és kapcsolódó programok IKT orientált felhívásairól. Az IKT szekció főelőadója:  Morten Moller, Európai Bizottság, DG CNECT Jelenlegi tevékenysége: F.3. Programme Coordination vezetője. Feladata az IKT munkaprogram kidolgozásának koordinálása, amely meghatározza az IKT felhívások kutatási tartalmát és indikatív költségvetését. Feladata kiterjed a Horizont 2020 más területén megjelenő IKT tematikák kimunkálásának koordinálására is.  Korábbi tevékenysége: IST Operations vezetője: a felhívások szervezése és információ nyújtása, a pályázatok értékelése, a szerződéses tárgyalások folytatása és a projektek végrehajtásának menedzselése az EC részéről.  Nagy tapasztalatot szerzett korábban a Telematics és az IST programok végrehajtásában, többek között az e-Learning technológiákban. Az Európai Bizottsághoz való csatlakozást megelőzően a Dán Open University igazgatója volt, kutatott és oktatott. Dynamic Planet, Global Development and Transformations towards Sustainability are its three research themes, which depend critically on the availability and utilization of reliable information at both local and global scales. With the advancement of remote sensing and spatial information technologies, more and more spatial datasets at both global and local scales will increasingly become available in addition to those that have already been produced in the past. Supporting Future Earth with reliable global geo-information is becoming a key challenge for assuring successful global understanding, environmental change analysis, transformational development and dynamic modeling. This special issue of the International Journal of Digital Earth (IJDE) is devoted to the latest development on global geospatial data production and sharing, successful application experiences of global geo-information in environmental change analysis and sustainability studies, examination and analysis of up-to-date user requirements and key gaps arising from Future Earth studies, and identification of major challenges. The IJDE is the official Journal of the International Society for Digital Earth and is published by Taylor & Francis of the UK. Today, data is being generated, contributed, collected and processed at rates faster than any other time in history.  While considerable research has gone into organizing, synthesizing and making sense of these data, provenance of both the original data and the methods applied to them is often ignored or considered as an after thought.  The need for data provenance continues to play an important role in information science, arguably more so in today's sensor-rich data universe.  As the amount of data contributed through social media applications, mobile devices, and other user-generated sources continues to increase, so does our need to investigate the trustworthiness of the information and the expertise of the people contributing it.  Not only does provenance improve accountability but it also allows scientists, policy makers, and the public to ask bigger questions about the content.  Through provenance we can begin to ask questions surrounding the credibility of the content, sources, and methods used in collecting and contributing the data. 

The geospatial sciences offer a unique perspective to the discussion of credibility and provenance.   As all data are generated with some level of location information, space and place are subjects on which questions of credibility can be asked.  What components are important for assessing credibility in spatial information? Is assessing platial information credibility any different than investigating other forms of information credibility?  Does the location at which data is generated, collected, organized or processed impact its trustworthiness? Do the terms used to describe these data imply the same thing to different users and communities?

Topics of interest for this special issue include, but are not limited to:
