Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University seeks a
Project Coordinator to perform a wide range of coordination,
administrative, research, and related activities for the Center’s
Cyberlaw Clinic. S/he will join the Berkman Center’s world-class
community of scholars and digital architects and work in close
collaboration with Berkman faculty, staff, and fellows to advance a
range of interdisciplinary, cutting-edge
research related to the study and development of Internet &
society.
The Cyberlaw Clinic is a Berkman Center project and a
Harvard Law School (HLS) clinical program in which HLS students enroll
for credit and provide pro bono legal services to qualifying
individuals, organizations, startups, and others on legal issues
relating to the Internet and technology. The Project Coordinator will
report to the Clinic’s staff attorneys and will work alongside Berkman’s
growing team of project managers and project coordinators to manage the
day-to-day operations of the Clinic.
This job is a fantastic
opportunity for someone interested in future law school studies, as the
role will engage with a variety of projects across the full spectrum of
cyberlaw topics."

Felhívás ENSZ műszaki tanácsadói munkában való részvételre
Az ENSZ SPIDER szervezetének minapi felhívása:
"Dear colleagues,
At the invitation of the Government of Ghana (National Disaster Management Organisation, NADMO) the UN-SPIDER Programme will conduct a Technical Advisory Mission (TAM) to Ghana from 25 to 29 November 2013.
UN-SPIDER is currently compiling a list of experts from the space as well as the disaster/disaster-risk management community in order to have the mission team defined by the end of September. UN-SPIDER is looking for professionals from relevant institutions, organizations, companies or universities from the field of space technology and disaster/disaster-risk management who are already collaborating or are willing to collaborate in the future with the authorities or respective institutions in Ghana.
If you are interested in joining the TAM, please send a short background, résumé or CV and a short indication of your current, planned or possible type of collaboration with Ghana to Mr Coen BUSSINK (coen.bussink@unoosa.org). The deadline for submission is 29 September 2013.

Megpályázhatóak a GSDI 15 és 16. konferenciáinak helyszínei.
Mindenesetre az EUROGI október 11-i végrehajtó bizottsági ülésének napirendjére tűzi kérdést, hiszen jó alkalom kínálkozna akár az EUROGI ImaGIne konferenciájával való közös rendezvény megszervezésére európai helyszínnel.

Pályázható az EUROGI honlapjának felújítása
Catherina Bamps EUROGI főtitkár körlevélben hívja fel a figyelmét az EUROGI tagszervezeteinek, illetve azok tagjainak arra, hogy mód van az EUROGI Joomla honlapjának korszerűsítésére, egy szeptember 9-ig beküldendő pályázat alapján.
A korszerűsítés egy újabb Joomla verzióra való átültetést jelent. Pályázhatnak a HUNAGI mindazon tagjai, akik befizették már az idei HUNAGI tagsági díjukat. Számukra HUNAGI igazolást ad tagságukról.

This e-mail is a call for proposal regarding the upgrade of the EUROGI-website from Joomla v1.6 to 3.x.

Requirements
The EUROGI website is built on Joomla v1.6 which has been superseded in the meantime by V1.7, V2.5 and V3.x.
There is thus a need to (a massive) upgrade from Joomla v1.6 to Joomla 3.x. Besides this upgrade, the different components (3rd Party-Joomla Extensions) which the website currently is built upon, like
Admintools, Chronoforms, JE Events, SurveyForce DeLuxe, Phoca Download, OSE Excellence security component,…need to be checked against Joomla 3.x compatibility and tested accordingly.
The end-result needs to be an upgraded, properly functioning and easily accessible website.
Proposers are kindly asked to provide the following information:
- name and contact-details proposer and link proposer with EUROGI (member of EUROGI, member of a EUROGI-member – please specifiy..)
- a brief (technical) step-by-step approach on how the different tasks will be executed;
- cost proposal: nr of person-days necessary to perform the tasks and daily rate;
- time schedule
- brief reference(s) to existing achievements/experience with Joomla
