Publikáljon kutatási eredményeiről a Journal of Agricultural Informatics (JAI) szaklapban!

REAL - Repository of the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences ( http://real.mtak.hu/ ).

The Journal of Agricultural Informatics ( http://journal.magisz.org/ ) is the periodical of 
European Federation of Information Technology in Agriculture, Food and Environment 
(EFITA), published by Hungarian Association of Agricultural Informatics (HAAI) as NGO of EFITA. 

Next issues will be published in July (this is under editing), September and December 2015. 

The peer-reviewed open access journal is operating with international editorial and advisory board.
There is no publication fee or additional cost.

The journal publishes original papers on topics including ICT in e-Agricultural Government, 
Farm Management, Rural Development, Extension Services, Education and research results 
on wide scope of information and communication technologies and methods 
(e.g. networking, precision agriculture, GIS, etc.).

GEO 2015 versenyfelhívás rövid videok készítésére

"The Group on Earth Observations is pleased to announce the kick-off of the GEO 2015 Short Video Competition for the GEO-XII Plenary and Ministerial Summit!


The competition seeks short (up to 3 minutes) videos highlighting how GEO, and Earth observations in general, are helping to address global and regional environmental and societal challenges.

Winning videos will be shown during the GEO Ministerial Summit in Mexico City on 13 November 2015.

The deadline for submissions is 30 September 2015.

Bejelentették a Copernicus Masters 2015. évi pályázati felhívását

Mai postánkból: Laura Schaflinger a német Alkamazási Központból küldte meg a  bejelentést a Copernicus Masters 2015-ről:

The Copernicus Masters competition 2015 is now open for submissions - with new challenges, industry leading partners and an immense prize pool.

Since 2011, the Copernicus Masters competition (www.copernicus-masters.com) has awarded innovative products, services or applications that are based on Earth observation data. Its purpose is to drive the development of market-oriented applications for utilising data generated through Europe's flagship satellite programme - Copernicus.

In this year's edition, prizes will be awarded in topic-specific challenges sponsored by a number of world-class partners, including: the European Space Agency (ESA), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), T-Systems International GmbH, Satellite Applications Catapult Ltd., Greece's National Cadastre and Mapping Agency (NCMA), CloudEO AG, and European Space Imaging GmbH (EUSI). In addition, the new University Challenge specifically addresses students and research assistants around the world.

The prize pool includes cash awards, satellite data access and quota as well as support-packages and is worth EUR 300,000.

SMEs, start-ups, entrepreneurs, students and everyone with a brilliant idea is welcome to join and submit their entries from 15 April to 13 July 2015 at www.copernicus-masters.com

MyGEOSS - a nagyközönség bevonása a térinformatikai alkalmazásokba - DG JRC pályázata

Mai postánkból. Ma délután Sven Schade, a JRC tudományos munkatársa kérte az alábbi figyelemfelhívó anyag széleskörű terjesztését:
""MYGEOSS" CALL ANNOUNCEMENT on smart mobile or web-based applications to inform European citizens on the changes affecting their local environment



The European Commission (DG RTD and JRC) is launching an open call for the development of innovative applications (mobile or web-based) using openly available or crowd-generated data in different domains addressing citizens’ needs.

The pool of open data for use includes but is not limited to the Data Collection of Open Resources for Everyone (GEOSS Data-CORE) made available by the Group on Earth observation (GEO) through the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS), as well as open data from EU-funded projects.

The focus of this call will be on developing applications that will provide users with quantitative or qualitative information on the changing environment, e.g. change detection in climate, biodiversity, water bodies, coastal areas, built environment, green areas, forestry, agricultural land and crops, and atmospheric composition.

Launch of the call: 18 March
Deadline for submitting application concept, prototype, or user story: 30 April
