RFP: Strategic and Business Plans for Nebraska's Statewide Spatial Data Infrastructure
The Nebraska Office of the CIO (OCIO), in cooperation with the Nebraska GIS Council, is seeking proposals from qualified firms, organizations or individuals to provide services relating to the development of a Strategic Plan to build a statewide spatial data infrastructure. With guidance from the Federal Geographic Data Committee’s (FGDC) Fifty States Initiative, the Strategic Plan will outline the case for the Nebraska Geospatial Infrastructure, which is Nebraska’s contribution to the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI). Bidder’s proposal must outline their approach for development of a Strategic Plan for the Nebraska GIS Council. The contract period for services will begin on or near August 22, 2011 through December 31, 2011.
Nebraska is a large, rural state, with roughly two-thirds (2/3) of its population concentrated in the eastern third (1/3) of the state. In reviewing the proposals received from responding entities, an important evaluation consideration will be how those proposals address the unique challenges presented by Nebraska’s geography and demographics.
Deadline for RFP No. 3691Z1: July 10, 2011 2:00 p.m. Central Time
